The Story

The Rossini APEX is where most serious digital listeners find their sweet spot in the dCS range. It combines streaming, upsampling, and D/A conversion in a single chassis — with the same Ring DAC APEX technology found in the Vivaldi — while offering the option to add an external Master Clock and CD/SACD Transport for even higher performance.

The APEX upgrade was a watershed moment for the Rossini, bringing improvements in dynamics, rhythm, timing, and resolution that narrowed the gap with the Vivaldi considerably.

Available as a DAC (digital inputs and streaming only) or as a Player (adding a built-in CD/SACD transport), the Rossini APEX supports all major streaming platforms including Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, and Roon, with a comprehensive set of digital inputs for external sources.

Adding the optional Rossini Master Clock delivers a meaningful upgrade in spatial coherence, bass definition, and the sense of ease and naturalness in the music. For many audiophiles, a Rossini APEX with Clock represents the pinnacle of practical, real-world digital playback.
