The Story

At the heart of the Klimax DSM is Organik — Linn's first fully in-house DAC architecture. Unlike off-the-shelf DAC chips, Organik combines FPGA digital processing with a discrete analog conversion stage, giving Linn complete control over every stage of the digital-to-analog process. The result is significantly lower noise and distortion than anything they've achieved before.

Available as an Audio version (analog and digital inputs) or AV version (adding HDMI 2.0 switching), the Klimax DSM also comes as a System Hub — without the Organik DAC — for driving Linn's Exakt active speakers that have their own internal DACs. The precision-machined enclosure provides acoustic isolation, with internal damping and partitioned chambers separating analog, digital, and power stages.
