The Story

The Wilson Audio Subsonic is, quite literally, the same subwoofer that accompanies the $850,000 WAMM Master Chronosonic system. It uses the same drivers, the same internal volume, and the same acoustic architecture. The only difference is the external finish — the Subsonic uses Wilson's standard metal finish process rather than the WAMM's prismatic treatment.

Three 12-inch drivers operate in a sealed enclosure, delivering performance in the 10–30Hz range that is exceeded only by the WAMM Master Subsonic itself.

At 612 pounds, the Subsonic is a substantial commitment. It is designed as the perfect addition to any of Wilson's medium or larger floorstanding speakers — Sasha V, WATT/Puppy, Alexia V, Alexx V, and Chronosonic XVX — configured either as a single mono unit or as a stereo pair.

The Subsonic is a passive design, meaning it requires an external amplifier. Wilson recommends pairing it with their ActivXO Dual Subwoofer Crossover for precise integration with your main speakers.
