Introducing the Sonus faber Olympica G3 collection
The all-new Sonus faber Olympica G3 Collection
We’re excited to announce a major upgrade to Sonus faber’s Olympica collection of loudspeakers. More than a decade after the debut of the original Olympica, this new generation (G3) reimagines the collection for today’s discerning listeners, combining timeless Italian craftsmanship, contemporary luxury, and advanced acoustic engineering.
Deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of Vicenza and inspired by Andrea Palladio’s Teatro Olimpico, Olympica G3 brings together refined design, meaningful acoustic innovation, and technologies derived from Sonus faber’s flagship Suprema loudspeaker. Here are some of the key changes:
Redesigned Drivers
The midrange now uses Sonus faber’s Camelia paper pulp cone (the same unit found in the Suprema) in place of the older paper pulp driver. It brings more resolution and a more neutral tonal character. That driver also rides on a fabric suspension instead of rubber, which lowers distortion and lets it move with more speed. The midwoofer has grown from 5.5 inches to a 6.5-inch Camelia unit, so low and mid-bass arrive with more weight and more impact. The bass woofers are entirely new, with tighter control, better dynamics, and more headroom than before.
Phase Coherence Crossover
A solid aluminum phase plug, acoustically optimized, replaces the older design and spreads the sound more evenly across the room. The new Phase Coherence Crossover takes over from the older Paracross topology and tightens everything around it: a wider and deeper soundstage, more precise imaging, better timing. Inside the cabinet, an optimized cork structure does the quiet work of damping, raising efficiency and letting more detail through. Sonus faber’s organic die-cast aluminum basket, a patented design, improves airflow around each driver.
Refined Looks and Cabinet Design
The G3 looks the part as well. Solid aluminum CNC-machined flanges and rings replace the plastic and leather of the previous generation, which makes the drivers more rigid and the transient response faster. The anodized aluminum parts now wear a titanium finish with chamfered edges and a diamond detail. The cabinet is dressed in 45-degree wood veneering, cleaner and more contemporary than the maple inlays of the Olympica Nova, and it carries the Sonus faber logo with quiet pride.
The Olympica G3 Collection features 2 floorstanders, a bookshelf, center channel, and on-wall options - perfect for a serious home theater setup. Available in Walnut and Wenge.
