Recap: Community Vinyl Night - April 16, 2026
This past Thursday was the largest crowd we’ve ever had at our monthly Third Thursday Community Vinyl Night! Over 30 music lovers gathered at AudioConcepts for an evening of awesome music and community..
Community Vinyl Night (or CVN as we call it around here) is pretty simple: bring a record, pick a track (we ask that it’s under 6 minutes) and we spin it on one of our hi-fi systems. It’s become tradition (but certainly not required) for the person playing the record to say a few things about the song they chose, like a cool story about the artist or why the song is important to them. It’s not uncommon for the crowd to cheer after the song plays.
It’s kinda like karaoke, but better!
One of my favorite things about CVN is seeing new faces each time we host it. We’ve got several “regulars”, but it’s an ever evolving group of music lovers representing just about every demographic out there.
It’s also a great way to discover new music - it’s pretty rare to hear a track that I’ve already heard which is AWESOME. Speaking of, here’s the setlist from April 16th, 2026:
Magdalena Bay – "Death & Romance"
Miles Davis – "Saeta"
