High Definition Television (HDTV) is the single greatest advancement in video since the switch from black and white to color. HDTV is wonderful and should be seen in all its glory. But how do you get HDTV into your home? What is the difference between HDTV and EDTV? Is DVD considered High Definition? What kind of displays should you consider?
HDTV displays come in a variety of forms. From "big screens" to flat screens to projectors. The technology you choose may largely depend on the size of picture you want. Plasma and LCD screens are a great solution when you're short on space; they hang independently on the wall and are generally only a few inches deep. For a bigger picture, rear screen (commonly known as "big screen") TV's are a great value, although they don't save space the way a flat screen will.
The greatest way to view your high definition program or your DVD movies is on a projector. This gives you the true cinematic experience with picture sizes from 77" to 250"!
